Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle – Classic of Thermosing
You know what they say, you can’t go wrong with a classic! And believe us, Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle is an icon among the best thermoses for keeping coffee hot.
This all-steel vacuum bottle was originally crafted in 1913. Very little has changed since then.
Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle comes in two different colours.
You can go with original, “Rambo looking” military-green bottle. Or, if you want something more neutral, pick the navy blue Stanley.
The ideal size can be picked, depending on your daily “coffee mileage”. You can select from a wide range of sizes anywhere between 16 ounces to 2 quarts.
Just like its ancestors nowadays Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle can keep your coffee hot for 15 impressive hours! It can also keep your water cold for 60 hours.
Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle is entirely stainless steel, which makes it BPA free, and the plastic on the thermos is non-BPA too.
There are two components to the top of the thermos. First one is the insulated screw cap. It keeps in the liquid and, when loosened, allows a smooth pour.
The other component is a lid. It screws on top and doubles as a cup. The cup that can hold about eight ounces of liquid, which makes it perfect for the days when you need to have a coffee on the go.
Speaking of traveling. Do you drink coffee while camping? I tell you what, just because you’re in the woods doesn’t mean you have to give up your daily dose of caffeine.
This thermos is a perfect companion for all of you outdoor junkies out there.
It is just as sturdy and indestructible as it looks and it can stand up to pretty much any kind of camping “abuse”.
Stanley is one of those things that will last you forever. And yes, in case you are wondering it does come with a lifetime warranty.
Originally made in the USA, today Stanley is manufactured in China.
Old-style Stanley’s had charcoal dust packed between two stainless steel walls of the thermos. In 2009 Stanley eliminated the charcoal packing, which made the thermos a bit lighter.
And although Classic Stanley still performs about the same, not everybody is tickled pink about the updates.
An older generation of Stanley’s fans claims that the thermoses “are not the same anymore” and that new thermoses have lost original durability.
What’s our final word on Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle? It is very basic but functional.
If you are someone who enjoys camping, hiking and drinking coffee in the woods, this is definitely your “go to” thermos.

YETI Rambler 20 oz Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Tumbler Coffee without sweat
YETI Rambler 20 oz Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Tumbler was originally as a bottle to keep your water ice cold.
But over the years it became well known as one of the top thermoses to keep for hot beverages as well.
Because of its kitchen-grade 18/8 stainless steel construction and double-wall vacuum insulation, this guy made it to the best coffee thermoses list.
If you put something ice-cold in YETI, it stays cold for “as long as science allows” (I really liked this phrase from their booklet).
If you put piping-hot coffee into this Tumbler, it stays steaming hot for impressive 5-6 hours! Consider yourself warned.
Take it into account though, that you cannot treat YETI tumbler as a typical thermos bottle.
The plastic lid on the top fits securely and keeps your coffee from splashing out. But it is not entirely sealed on top, so there is no way you can tip your Yeti over without spilling.
You can buy some add-ons online. But let’s just agree, it would be so much nicer if you could close Yeti entirely and throw it into your backpack.
And although you can’t do that without spilling, you can take YETI Rambler with you into the car!
This tumbler is smaller on the bottom and bigger on the top. Just like a McDonald’s foam cup, Yeti is sized to fit into standard car cup holders.
Generally speaking, Yeti is famous for durability, and their Rambler is no exception.
You’ll never have to worry about it being damaged. It looks practically indestructible and believe us, it indeed is.
Pricewise this mug is a bit on expensive side. It is one of those things that you buy once, and they will last you forever.
So if you are on a budget, you might be better off with something simpler.
In the case of Yeti, you definitely get what you pay for. And here is one of our favourite features.
What we really like about this Big Foot thermos (got the joke?), is that it does not sweat!
This BPA-free thermos has a no sweat design, which means you will not see any condensation on the body of your YETI. It also does not leave ugly wet rings on the table on a hot day. Yay for coasterless drinking!
On the downside though, it can be difficult to clean.
Even though YETI is dishwasher safe, cleaning can get tricky. Coffee and tea get stuck under the seal, and over the time it can build up under the top of the cap. The best way to clean it is to remove the seal completely and wash the thermos manually.
Here is what are final thoughts on YETI Rambler 20 oz Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Tumbler.
All in all, this is a seriously good thermos. It will do duty with both your piping-hot brew or iced coffee all day long. YETI Rambler is a high-end thermos that will last you forever. We say YES to this bad boy!

Contigo Autoseal Travel Mug
There’s something magical about making yourself a hot cup of coffee, and being able to have it on the go.
Whether, you like sipping coffee while you drive, or throwing it to your purse, you need to have a good quality leak-proof travel mug. Contigo Autoseal West Loop Travel Mug is a solid candidate to consider.
To us, when it comes to a good coffee thermos, there are only three requirements: the mug should keep coffee hot for as long as possible, it has to be spill-proof and, of course, it should neatly fit into the car cup holder. Contigo Autoseal Travel Mug is a whole package.
It is designed to be used on the go, so be sure it will comfortably fit into your hand or a car console cup holder.
Not only the double-wall vacuum-insulated stainless steel body is very stylish, but it sure does the job!
According to the manufacturer, this thermos can keep your hot coffee hot for up to seven hours. However, if you prefer casually sipping an ice-cold beer from a coffee mug (c’mon, we’ve all been there), you can do that too. The mug should be able to keep your drinks cold for up to 18 hours.
As you probably figured out from the name, Contigo Autoseal Travel Mug is spill-proof.
Contigo SnapSeal technology is the hidden gem of this travel thermos. Patented AUTOSEAL technology makes this baby leak-proof and spill-proof.
You can shake it, knock it over, or even hold it upside down and it will not leak! To open the drinking port, all you have to do is to press and hold the Autoseal button.
And while Autoseal technology got itself lots of raving fans, some people say it can get a bit messy, when you are releasing the Autoseal back.
Speaking of drawbacks, washing this thermos can be a bit tricky as well. Make sure to run the lid under the warm water after you clean it in a dishwasher, otherwise, you might end up with a soapy coffee, yummy!
This travel buddy comes in different colours and sizes. You can stick to classic and get yourself a stainless steel coffee thermos.
Or you can get a grey-red, jade or vivacious versions. (JADE, seriously? What happened to good old green colour?).
Although, some experienced Contigo users say, that stainless steel version will last you longer. The coloured ones might eventually chip off if you clean your thermos in a washing machine.
On a bright side, if anything happened to your Contigo Autoseal Travel Mug, it is covered by the lifetime warranty. But if you know how to take a good care of your Contigo Mug, you will not need to use the warranty.
When all is said and done, it is one of the best thermoses for keeping coffee hot!
If portability and “sealdness” (like that’s even a word) are your top priorities when choosing a cup, you will be delighted with Contigo Autoseal West Loop Travel Mug, so go for it!

Zojirushi SM-SA60-BA Stainless Steel Mug
Despite its name, Zojirushi Stainless Steel Mug does not look like a mug at all. It’s got this stylish insulation cap, which gives it a signature “thermossy” look.
And believe it or not, it performs just like a hard-core thermos too! This baby-mug is an absolute champ when it comes to keeping your coffee steaming hot.
Insulated 18/8 stainless steel walls can keep your precious morning drink hot for over 6 hours, even in cold environments.
To ensure the hotness of your experience, Zojirushi throws in a five-year warranty on heat retention. Not bad for such a little thermos, right?
Some experienced Zojirushiners recommend putting ice cubes into your steaming hot coffee to be able to drink it an hour after pouring… Otherwise, you risk being mouth-burned.
One more disclaimer. If you like getting coffee into your mouth quickly, Zojirushi is not the best option for you.
It is built with coffee snobs in mind. It has really small, almost comically over-engineered liquid dispenser. Zojirushi is perfectly attuned to the shape of the human mouth for you to enjoy the aroma in little sips.
Where Zojirushi really shines, is design and portability. These little Japanese is made of BPA-free plastic and stainless steel, and it comes in two sizes – 16 ounces and 12 ounces. These are the equivalents of your favourite Tall and Grande Starbucks sizes.
Because this thermos is so compact, it fits perfectly into a purse or even a laptop bag!
But hey, let’s be honest! Not every coffee thermos can be thrown into the laptop bag or on the leather seat of your favourite car. Zojirushi can.
It has a special locking mechanism that keeps the mug tightly sealed. The lid can be securely fastened with a lock to prevent your bottle from opening.
Some people find it a bit over-engineered. However, if you don’t mind a bit of work, you will love it!
Another thing to admire about this thermos is how low-maintenance it is! The lid can be easily disassembled, and the stainless steel seems to do fine in the dishwasher too.
We wouldn’t recommend to run it through long drying cycle though, because the colour might chip-off
Ok, it’s time to wrap this thermos party up!
On the list of the best thermoses for keeping coffee hot, Zojirushi Stainless Steel Mug would certainly make it to the top. Even though it is reasonably elegant, it performs like a beast!
What a perfect combination for your everyday thermos, right?
