What is Duo Clean Technology
Duo clean technology allows for efficient cleaning on all floor types.
The dual brush roll allows the vacuum to pick up large particles, small particles and stuck on dust that you would usually find on hardwood floors.
The bristle brush is ideal for cleaning carpets and the soft brush roll pulls in larger particles and work on floors to provide a more polished look.
The Shark zu62 does not have this feature.
What is Zero M Cleaning Brush Roll
Both the AZ1002 and the ZU62 have the zero m self-cleaning brush roll.
The self-cleaning brush roll has a series of protrusions that constantly remove hair from the brush roll as you vacuum instead of having to manually do this task.
What is Powered Liftaway
The powered liftaway feature refers to shark vacuums that have a detachable canister. This feature extends the reach of the vacuum and allows you to reach hard to reach areas and above ground areas.
Detailed Comparison of the Features

However, where the ZU62 beats the AZ1002 model is the size of the dust cup. The ZU62 has a dust cup capacity of 2.8 quarts compared to the AZ1002 which has a dust cup capacity of 1.5 quarts. This allows you to have longer cleaning sessions and not having to frequently empty the dust cup canister.
