What is Zero M Cleaning Brush Roll

The ZU572 has the zero m self-cleaning brush roll.

The self-cleaning brush roll has a series of protrusions that constantly remove hair from the brush roll as you vacuum instead of having to manually do this task. If this is one of the tasks that you dislike when cleaning pet hair you might want to have a look at the ZU572 model.

What is Powered Liftaway

The powered liftaway means you can detach the canister pod so you can clean hard to reach areas while still delivering power to keep the brush roll spinning.

This feature gives you more maneuverability when using the vacuum to reach hard to reach areas such as under couches or when cleaning above-ground areas. A plus is you still maintain the same vacuuming power.

What is the difference between powered liftaway and liftaway

The liftaway feature that is available in the ZU572 models means that the unit can be detached from the wand at the click of a button, turning your upright vacuum into a portable. In the liftaway mode there is no power in the brush roll.

Powered Lift Away (NV752 model) delivers power directly to the brush roll head even in Lift Away mode.

Detailed Comparison of the Features

  • Cleaning Performance (Winner ZU572) – With the addition of the zero m self-cleaning brush roll 572 model provides more cleaning power.
  • Weight & Dust Cup Capacity (Winner ZU572) – The ZU572 model weights less than the NV752 model. Additionally, it also has a larger dust cup capacity.
  • Maneuverability ( Tie) – Both of these vacuums have the liftaway feature. However, the NV752 has a powered liftaway feature so I would give it a slight edge. However, the ZU572 model is lighter than the NV752 model and the reduction in weight makes it easier to maneuver.
  • Accessories (Tie) – Both the NV752 and the ZU572 come with a large variety of accessories. Both of these vacuums come with accessories to clean pet hair.
  • Cost (NV752) – The NV752 model tends to cheaper than the ZU572 model. This is to be expected since the ZU572 is a newer model.

If you have to vacuum a lot of hair, especially long hair and don’t fancy having to cut the hair out of the brush roll then this vacuum might be perfect for you.
